Using my powers of disease and plague to wreak havoc on the kingdom. The knights keep sending doctors to defeat me but I've been eating way too many apples so my forcefield repels them

talisidekick

What's your strategy against undergraduate medical professionals? Like those coming to the kingdom to use the disease and plague outbreak to complete their residency program requirement to become a doctor? Or undergraduate students doing a following for part of their study period? They wouldn't be repelled by the apple forcefield.

did i even tell you guys how i pretended to know how to play an instrument for three years and only two people ever figured it out.

cuuno

i don't mean i was like. telling people i could play guitar, i mean i was sitting in band class holding a french horn to my lips and looking at the music and not understanding any of it or knowing how to play a single note. for 3 years.

cuuno

the two people who knew were my best friend who knew i was too stupid to play such a complicated instrument and the only other hornist in my section who had to desperately cover for me because he knew i had blackmail material on him. i only came clean this year in my senior speech and to this day people still call me mellophony and the no hit wonder.

compulsory abledness also (partially) explains why disability aids are forced onto some people and denied from others

prosthetic limbs are forced onto amputees whether they want them or not because the goal is to make disabled people look as abled as possible. whereas, all sorts of people who would benefit from mobility aids are often denied them until it’s a “last resort” because! you guessed it! the goal is to make us look as abled as possible

neither person in this situation is privileged. it’s just that the same harmful phenomenon impacts different groups in different ways

Chase is one of the funnier characters in House because the writers were trying to make him funny, but in the process made him the most traumatized, messed up, miserable person in all of House. Like the concept of "Catholic priest who has sex" is funny but they had to give him religious trauma and Catholic guilt for that joke, or the dead husband's sperm thing is funny but it gives him massive trust issues, and just the fact that he's so pretty that House routinely calls him a girl makes him incredibly insecure about his personality and intelligence. Like how did he not get one single funny trait that didn't come with Issues??

“your rent should be a third of your income” well wouldn’t that be nice. wouldn’t it. lower the rent pussy

moniquill

Casual observation from someone old enough to remember: in the year 2000 financial advice was that rent should be no more than 1/4 of your income.

vergess

Until the mid 80s, the advice was that if you must rent instead of owning, then that 20% of your monthly income (oh yes, only 20%) should include all your utilities too.

After all, rent costs more than a mortgage, so it should offer more too.

The housing market is a fucking travesty.

homoqueerjewhobbit

Hmm what happened in the mid eighties....
